Previously he was a Visiting Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Leeds; prior to that, he was Kuwait Petroleum Professor of Lubricant Technology at De Montfort University, Leicester. At de Montfort he worked with Nylacast through four Knowledge Transfer Partnerships to develop low friction polymers for industrial applications. He is currently developing cost-effective polymer   formulations for higher torque/temperature applications for automotive Electric Power Steering systems'.

We will also have a full poster session on each of the two days as well, in addition to hearing from last year’s poster winners with an update on what they’ve been doing by way of research since 2018. There will also be lots of networking opportunities in the Waterside Room where you can also catch up with all of our exhibitors as well.

This year we are offering free places for the conference to students, who can register via the above link.

I hope to see those of you who came along to our event in 2018 and also welcome new delegates to the 2019 conference.
