We’re just finalising the filmed presentations from our World Space Week – ‘Remote Sensing Satellite Systems for Global Sustainability’ seminar and will be sharing these with you asap.  In the meantime you can view the slides from our speakers, Dr Vanessa Lawrence and Ralph Cordey here.

Paul Iliffe, winner of our  ‘Game Changing Satellite Applications’ poster competition enjoyed his prize which was a place at the Reinventing Space Conference and Dinner and a poster presentation slot, he’s shared his thoughts on the conference here in a blog.

The committee are working hard on their Space Creativity Collaboration plans for next year and will be sharing these with you in due course.  Please don’t forget to have your say on what the challenges are facing the space sector here.

Call for Experts - We are still looking for new volunteers for the Network’s Executive Team from academia and especially female engineers/academics working in the satellite systems and applications area. We would particularly welcome volunteers who are able to contribute proactively to our Engineering Community group.  Please see this information sheet  which gives more information on what the volunteer role entails and contact me Deborah McKenzie  if you’re interested in joining the Executive Team.

Finally, you can see below that I’m an Arthur C Clarke fan; I’d love to have your views on whether you think some of the technology in the final book will come to fruition and if so, how far off that might be.
