The Royal Institute of Navigation is pleased to announce plans for the International Navigation Conference 2016, which will address the most cutting-edge issues in Positioning, Navigation and Timing. Of global importance, INC 16 will feature the very latest developments in topics such as GNSS, indoor positioning, autonomous transport, security against cyber attack, resilience, and quantum technology.



The conference will include both peer-reviewed and non peer-reviewed tracks, and will cater for academic, industrial and end-user interests. The conference proceedings will be made available online in a digital repository in the weeks following the conference. 

 



Conference Themes



The Conference programme and speakers are still being developed but INC2016 will feature the hottest topics, including:









New areas of research and development for navigation and positioning, such as biological / animal / human / cognitive navigation, and quantum technologies.











Deploying positioning, sensor and navigation systems in sectors such as autonomy, smart infrastructure, dementia care, disabilities, indoor tracking, agritech etc.











Risks posed by, or to, tracking or sensing systems and platforms. For example: safety of autonomy (including legal aspects), spoofing and jamming legality, abuse of PNT technology, cyber security vulnerabilities, risks to infrastructure and industries, etc.













Optical processing, sensor fusion, multiconstellation GNSS, opportunistic positioning, collaborative positioning, etc.
