If you have not made up your mind yet then here are four reasons why you may want to go...

1. A new IET Journal will be launched

011e7aa2addc374905182d7ed901fa34-huge-ibc-2017-cover-160w.jpgOn Friday 15 September please join us in the IBC Future Zone at 15:00 for a panel debate and reception to launch the new journal ‘IBC – Open Access Proceedings Journal’ which will go live online in November 2017.


The print version ‘Best of IBC 2017’ including selected best papers will be available at the conference.






2. The MMC Network will be hosting a series of free short taster courses


On Sunday 17 September there will be a number of free courses that will be delivered by Graham Turner and Mark Mulready, Irdeto Senior Director - Cyber security services:


10:00 - 11:00 - Content Protection

11:00 - 12:00 - Pay TV Security Lessons for IoT

12:15 - 13:15 - Taking the fight to the pirates

15:00 - 16:00 - Content Protection

16:00 - 17:00 - Pay TV Security Lessons for IoT

17:00 - 17:45 - Sharing and acquiring fundamental knowledge - meeting the challenge (run by SMPTE)


All these courses will run for around 45-50 minutes, be held in Room D304 and are on a 'first come, first served' basis.

3. An IET exhibition stand


Please come and see us at our stand in Hall 8 and location E.90. It would be great to chat to IET members and those thinking of becoming a member. Or if you would like to know more about our knowledge solutions then we would be delighted to speak to you too!

4. An IET members reception


At our stand on Saturday 16 September @ 17:00 we will be holding a reception for IET members or those thinking of becoming a member. If you want to chat and network with IET members who work in the same industry please come along for a glass of wine or two. It will be great to have you there...
