After many months of planning we’ve now finalised our plans for the Electrification in Motorsports – Design and Technology’ seminar which we’ll be hosting at Coventry Transport Museum

One of my colleagues has just returned from a site visit and has come back with some great feedback about the venue, so together with our line-up of speakers, we look to be in for an excellent event.  Click here to find out further information about the programme and how to register.

On the subject of Motorsports, we’re still looking for volunteers from this sector to join our ARTS TPN Executive team.  Please have a look at this information sheet which gives more information about the role and if you’re interested drop me an email Deborah-Claire McKenzie.

As I mentioned last month, Matthew Clarke has now taken over the role of Chairman of the TPN and is keen to get the volunteers reviewing related hot topics at the next meeting so we can consider our business plan for next session.

Matthew is a Chartered Electrical Engineer with 30 years of experience in Transport. He’s a technical director with Atkins Transportation and provides technical, strategy, policy and research leadership for clients and solves transport technology problems. He has prepared studies, standards and specifications and managed contracts for electric vehicle charging, road user charging, ticketing, enforcement and parking guidance systems, highway and rail systems, control rooms, signs, signals and telecommunications. Matthew is also a member of the IET transport sector executive committee.

Hopefully you’ll get an opportunity to meet Matthew at one of our events and he’s also chairing the Electrification in Motorsports seminar in February.
