It’s been a busy few weeks for the RF and Microwave network with not one, but two events, held on opposite ends of the country.

First up, we went to Glasgow University for a joint colloquium on Millimetre-wave and Terahertz Engineering & Technology.

We had 9 speakers and 5 poster presenters including two invited speakers: Dr. Khaled Elgaid from University of Glasgow and Dr Sherif Sayed Ahmed from Rohde & Schwarz.

Our next event was the fifth Technical Enterprise, held at London Metropolitan University in north London, we were fortunate to hear from 3 speakers on the topic of RF in Aerospace Applications.

Our first speaker was Dr Rejan Bedi from Spacechips. He gave an interesting lecture on the work his company does. Our second speaker was Dr Yue Gao who spoke on Massive MIMO antennas and the work he and his colleagues are doing at Queen Mary University London. Our final speaker was Spiros Grammenos from London Metropolitan University who presented his research on Space Shuttle Communications and Deep Space Link Challenges, along with a couple on interesting videos on travel to Mars!
