Earlier this week I attended my first RF & Microwave event – the Electromagnetic Modelling and Simulations event held at Nottingham University.

We gathered on a sunny but frosty morning at the University of Nottingham for a day of presentations from a variety of different speakers.

Chris Dodds, one of the organisers, kicked off the day with a short video before introducing out first keynote speaker, Alexandros Feresidis from the University of Birmingham.

Our second keynote, which launched the afternoon session, was Professor Dave Thomas from the University of Nottingham. He gave an interesting and informative talk on TLM.

In between our keynotes we heard from a number of speakers from different backgrounds; please see the photos in this blog for details of the speakers we heard from on the day.

The presentations provoked some interesting discussions and I hope everyone who attended was able to get something out of it. Tamara and Chris did a great job of chairing this event so well done to them on a successful event! Thanks also to the University of Nottingham for hosting us and to CST who supported us with this event.

Finally, if you weren’t able to attend on the day and want to attend an event in the future, make sure to sign up for our next event: Towards 5G Mobile Technology – Vision to Reality in January, held at Savoy Place, London.
