Present Around The World is the Institution of Engineering and Technology's global competition for Young Professionals and Students within engineering to develop and showcase presentation skills.
The Scotland South West Young Professionals Local Network are delighted to announce the details of this year's local heat, held in Glasgow!
Students, Graduates, Apprentices and Young Professionals are invited to present for up to ten minutes on a subject related to engineering or technology, and answer questions for a further five minutes. This may be on a piece of work, a university project, or anything else of interest!
This year we have a fantastic panel of judges, including:
- Dr Carol Marsh, IET Scotland Chair and Deputy Head of Electronics, Leonardo
- Alex Hynes, Managing Director, ScotRail Alliance
- John Cherrie, Account Leader - Power, Process and Nuclear, Mott MacDonald
- Barbara McIntyre, Director of Engineering, Brodie Engineering
This will be a great opportunity to find out the amazing projects young people have been working on in Scotland, whilst networking with those new to the industry and more senior industry leaders.
Prizes will be awarded on the night of:
- £150 for the winner
- £100 for the runner up*
The winner will also go on to compete in the regional/national rounds!
