As the Chairman of the IET Local Network in Victoria, once again I take pleasure in welcoming you to this year’s program of events which I hope you’ll enjoy and find informative.

This year, true to our mission to inspire, inform and influence our local engineering community, our main Local Network will be offering a range of general interest engineering related events and our Young Professionals Section (YPS) will continue its track record of offering events tailored for students and early career engineers. We will also continue to work closely with industry, academia and other kindred organisations, through our EEEVic collaboration, in organising and delivering additional specialist events related to the Built Environment, Design & Production, Energy, Information & Communications and Transport. As you know this active events program is for both members and non-members alike. Guests are always welcome at all our events, so feel free to invite colleagues and friends.

The success of our Local Network is owed to the dedication of our Committee and our Volunteers helping to engineer a better world by inspiring, informing and influencing our members, engineers and technicians, and all those who are touched by, or touch, the work of engineers. If you are interested in being a part of this, I would love to hear from you, especially young professionals.  Victoria Network Committee Members' list 2017 - 18

Over the coming months, you can expect a programme of technical lectures, social and networking opportunities, CPD sessions and of course our annual Present Around the World (PATW) competition. Details of all of our events will be posted on this page.

I look forward to seeing you at as many of our events as possible!
