A new event has been added to the calendar, hold the date: Management of Risk in Glasgow on 17th May 2018. Registration from 6pm, talk at 7pm.This talk will look at the practical aspects of managing risk from a project delivery point of view. It is free to attend and open to non-members. We also have a number of other exciting events in the planning stage, including an update to our smart cities presentation a couple of years ago, this time we hope to hold the event in Birmingham. We are also looking to hold another prestige lecture in November, watch this space for more details. Early in 2019 we hope to have a presentation on the new International Construction Measurement Standard, which will be in London.


We are aiming to hold at least 4 events per year and are always looking for new ideas, please do contact me at iet_project_controls_chair@yahoo.com if you have ideas for events, especially if you are a speaker or know of a speaker who would be willing to present.


We are also looking for new volunteers to join our committee to help organise events and are especially interested in people with social media skills to help publicise them, our next committee meeting is on 29th May in Birmingham, if you are interested in joing the committe please email your CV to the email address above.
