Risk is a part of all of our lives and risk related careers are many, but what does Risk Management mean to you?  


On 23 February,  Tony Reid will deliver a presentation on the practicalities of applying Risk Management on projects.   This has been organised by the Project Controls Network and will be at the Teacher Building in Glasgow - so if you have any plans to be in Glasgow on 23rd, why not come along and hear more?

Tony is a past Chairman of the exec committee and started his career in Electricity Supply commissioning maintenance and operations and later developed into Project Controls.  He has international experience in the Process/Petrochemical contracting industry, in both operational and management positions, and later, in consultancy roles in the UK Construction Industry.  His experience covers planning, cost estimating, cost control, materials management, document control, risk management and project control management, and the provision and management of high quality project control staff, systems and procedures.  


Overseas experience includes Europe, Turkey, Japan, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. He has been active for many years in the support and development of Project Controls and is a qualified Assessor of Project Control Diplomas. Tony is also a past President of the Association of Cost Engineers. 


He has published a significant number of papers on Project Controls related topics, and is the author of “Project Controls – A Practitioner’s Guide to the Key Topics”.
