Building information modeling (BIM) is changing the global architecture, engineering, construction, owner and operator (AECOO) industry. For successful BIM adoption, common understanding and approaches to BIM implementations is needed. Public BIM standards have been developed around the world to ensure consistency for BIM implementation. This technical forum aims to provide a platform to discuss and share experience on the current situation of BIM standards in different countries and regions. BIM experts from Hong Kong, mainland China, the United States and the United Kingdom will present their national BIM standards at this forum. As the CIC BIM Standard (Phase One) is going to be released soon, this forum will provide insights for the AECOO industry in Hong Kong and overseas.
