The latest Eastern region prestige lecture – SKYLON – the future of space transportation – was held on 4 June at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford.  The event was preceded by exclusive access to the museum’s collection, before meeting up for networking and refreshments.  The IET.tv crew were in attendance, interviewing delegates to find out what brought them to the event, and volunteers, to gain an insight into why they volunteer for the IET.  Dr Robert Bond gave an interesting presentation to a lecture theatre that was almost standing room only.  This was followed by a lengthy Q&A session.  The organising volunteers left the event knowing it was a job well done, the only problem was how will they top it next year?

If you weren't able to attend you can now watch the presentation on IET.tv!

We also interviewed a selection of delegates, which you can view:

Simon Watts

Steve Morris-Jones

Paolo Soares

And volunteers told us why they volunteer for the IET:

Mick Ross

David Blake

We also had a quick chat with Dr Robert Bond after his presentation.
