The IET and the I Mech E arranged a joint visit to the Cambridge Rock Festival on Thursday 4 August for a behind the scenes tour.  Although not everyone who attended was a rock fan, the visit was a great success providing an opportunity to view the sound and power systems and the outside displays.  Radio Caroline and Cambridge 105 gave a walk around their recording and broadcast facilities.

Enthusiastic volunteers help construct the facilities each year which are extensive and complex.  The "Green Room" providing a rest and preparation area for the bands was not as glamorous as envisaged but helped to demonstrate the commitment of those who deliver the festival.
