40th IEE/IET HISTORY WEEKEND CONFERENCE : PRAGUE 6-7th MAY 2017
CALL FOR PAPERS - DEADLINE EXTENDED
Papers are invited on the history of engineering and technology for presentation at the 40th IEE/ IET weekend history conference to be held in Prague in the Czech Republic 6-7th May 2017.
Papers which discuss the history, early or recent, of any engineering or technology specialism relevant to the IET , or the personalities and companies who have contributed to the rich heritage of the engineering profession will be considered.
The organisers hope to attract papers relating not just to Central Europe but, recognising the global reach of the IET, any area of the world.
Selected papers will be presented on Saturday 6th May, with optional technical visits on Sunday 7th May. For those who plan to arrive before the weekend the IET CZ Local Network is planning an optional associated programme of events on Friday 5th May.
Papers presented at the Conference will be published in Proceedings held in the IET Library as reference and loan copies.
The Saturday papers presentation day will be free to attend although there may need to be some local charges for the technical visits and associated programme days
Offers of papers, in the form of a short synopsis not exceeding 200 words or less in English, should be emailed to Anne Locker (alocker@theiet.org ) by 30 November 2016.
