The IET Kent Network would like to offer a big thank you to Manus O’Donnell, Head of Development at EDF Energy for kindly accepting the IET request to present the lecture on small modular reactors (SMR). He gave an insightful presentation touching on technical, commercial and environmental aspects. The attendees thoroughly enjoyed the lecture and took part in the Q&A session.

Alison Prentice and her Visitor Centre team offered a fantastic tour of the site. IET members appreciated the level of knowledge and hospitality Dungeness B guides demonstrated during the tour and at the visitors centre.

They have various roles which may be of interest and would welcome any support to serve the wider engineering community in Kent.  The volunteers of the IET Kent Network are looking for additional help from local IET members for this year's Safety in Action at Invicta Barracks - 4 to 15 June.
