Events are organised by three distinct groups:
- Isle of Wight - for events on the Island.
- Young Professionals - Events targetted at the under-35s.
- Retired Members - A popular programme of mainly monthly talks held in the Portsmouth area, with some additional technical / industry visits.
- Main Network Events Committee - All other events.
It is also intended to revitalise a dedicated focus on events for Young Professionals (18-35 age group)
Partners
Three groups of partners are the focus of work in the area:-
- academic partners, i.e. the higher and further education establishments offering courses relevant to the IET's interests and particularly those which are engaged in the IET's Academic Partner programme;
- industrial partners, particularly those which are engaged in the IET's Business Partners programme and
- schools, where IET local members participate in the STEM Ambassadors scheme.
