Engineering Excellence Award dinner 2017, our first joint annual dinner with IMechE and IChemE went smoothly and successfully last night. A number of awards were presented during the dinner from each institution. IET awards including the Present Around the World Manchester heat award presented by myself and our guest from the CCUK, Jon Stevens and the IET Manchester Network Outstanding Achievement Award presented by Keith McCabe, the Chair of IET Manchester Network and our guest Tom H Laing representing the IET President.


There were many opportunities to network with members from all institutions, and was also great to see familiar faces and meeting new people. There was a dinner challenge which everyone took part in, and the IET Manchester Young Professionals Network won the award, congratulations to the network and also winners of the the awards who were on the stage last night.
