OK chaps. Bearing in mind this is in Thailand would you be overly concerned, yes it does have a metal cover over the works.

This is a custom board made to fit in a particularly awkward space, I have a local colleague who is branding it "unsafe" but is really unable to explain what his issues are.

Thoughts?

EDIT Please ignore the Schneider labelling on the box, the guts is all non-standard it was just cheaper to buy a suitable unit and remove the works than to get a custom one made.

  • Dear all Senior & Professional, I guess the picture shown is more look like final distribution switchboard. To be honest, not all industry in Thailand govern and comply according to standards. The standard of IEC 61439 or old IEC 60439 is adopted in TISI (Thai Industrial Standard Institute) but complying matter is still low. In this country normally using TT system. According to the picture and normally practice, safety awareness for human is not so strict especially to final distribution part. I cannot see the warning description for busbar isolation and also I can see the unconnected hanging cables as well the maximum short term current carry capacity for the din-rail too. This only my own opinion and no conflict to other professional and factors too.
  • This too was in Thailand.cf8ed20ac3d6e7bb77f94ce80cfb8ae4-original-sam_7271r.jpg
