New to the Power Systems and Equipment online network? What made you join? How are you involved in the area of Power Systems and Equipment? Introduce yourself here!
my name is Stewart from UK, currently registered as EngTech from my trade days as and installation technician ( part comms installation {fibre/data comms/coax/telephone systems} / part electrical installation, testing, design).
i wanted to progress to IEng so I completed a FdEng Electrical Power Engineering (distribution) degree in July and have now just started the final modules to top-up to a BEng Professional Engineering (Power Systems) degree. my main aim at the moment is to learn, gain knowledge and experience to one day become an Authorising Engineer (+ CEng).
I have joined a lot of communities on here related to the power / electrical / energy industries to try and learn and to meet new people who like to share knowledge.
I'm Caitríona (Cat) a power systems engineer working in consultancy. My background is in power system studies and HVDC and power electronics. I am keen to learn and get involved in discussions, also to network.
Happy to be part of this network. Great to associate with professionals who are knowledgable and skillful in their field of practice. Hey i have worked extensively in the energy profession and the academia for years and now doing Phd in Energy systems and Power Enginnering specializing in DERs and Active integration.
Looking forward to discuss and network and also to share happy moment.

My name is Geoff MacAngus-Gerrard. I've just finished revising my book Offshore Electrical Engineering Manual, which is due for publication by Elsevier in October. I have really decided to retire now as I will be 70 in October, but I'd like to keep in touch with the Power Engineering community as long as I'm able. Currently I'm downsizing to a more manageable house, which goes very much against my hoarding nature.
I wish you all joy and success with your careers and also hope you might purchase my book!
I am a specialist in Photovoltaic Energy and a member of the EnergyCPD Professional Membership Program of The European Energy Center (EEC - UK) and Individual Student Member
of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES).
I work in Siemens Healthcare for more than 15 years.
I'm Jonathan (or Jonno) Wilson and have been registered as EngTech since 2015. I am currently studing a BEng in Professional Engineering (Power Systems) and working as a specification engineer for Schneider Electric.
I look forward to getting involved in the discussion forums and attending any relevant events.
