Hi everyone, I am happy to have been accepted as a new member of the IET.

I am looking for advice on what my next steps could be in terms of working in the nuclear/radiation industry. 

What courses could I potentially take? Or what would be the best way of improving my skills/knowledge. I am very limited on time due to having a young family but I don't mind burning the midnight oil if it involves improving myself. 

I have been working as a Radiation Technician for the last 4 years. This role involves the periodic testing, calibration and repair of radiation detection monitors. I am also in charge of the documentation and management of the sealed sources on site. 

I feel that in the UK this area is a bit in limbo and trying to find resources and potentially paths to take is a bit blurred. 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
