C.Eng PRI, how long until i get feedback

Hi There,

I just did my C.Eng PRI today, 02/08/23, I've been told to wait for 6-8 weeks for the result from the panel. 

Anyone else done their PRI this year (2023), how long were you waiting for before the panel made a decision on your application?

    Hello Arif,

    I'm from a Marine background, and I've included my timeline below:

    • 14 July 2023: Submitted CEng application
    • 18 Sep 2023: Passed the Pre-Assessment Panel
    • 21 Nov 2023: Chased the IET for PRI arrangement progress, informed that my interview was likely to be conducted in Jan 2024
    • 22 Feb 2024: Further chase
    • 26 Feb 2024: Confirmed PRI date on 06 Mar 2024
    • 06 Mar 2024: PRI day
    • 19 Mar 2024: Received CEng confirmation from the IET

    I'm still awaiting the engineering pack from the Engineering Council. Overall the process took just under 36 weeks. Hope this helps you and other engineers looking for chartered status.
