Euro modules

How many companies manufacture Euro modules? It appears as if every electrical wiring accessory manufacturer sells Euro modules but whether they actually manufacture them is a different matter. Therefore users could end up paying more for the same item if they buy modules from an electrical wiring accessory manufacturer than if they bought them from a Euro module manufacturer's distributor.

Electrical wiring accessory manufacturers range from big names like MK, Crabtree, and Schneider to many smaller companies that make decorative front plates.
  • How many "manufacturers" are just names owned by larger companies?

How many products are produced by these companies to distribute at the different price brackets for each of the "names" they own?

And at what point does the value for money run out as you go up the price brackets?

Not a new thing, and certainly in the domestic appliance arena, it's been there for 30-40 years ... who owns who and what are you actually buying (or getting for your money in a particular price bracket)?

Similarly, with some major electronic components ... there are only a few companies globally who manufacture certain types of component (like LCD screens).
