KCEG relay operation on power-up?

Question

A KCEG relay is protecting an 11kV/415V transformer, and the 110Vdc fuse has failed - possibly because due to a pilot bulb blowing. The VCB has remained closed. What concerns me is the possibility of a trip due to power-on checks when I replace the fuse. The transformer feeds an entire site, so we would need to alert everyone to a risk-of-trip. Any experience out there, please?

Its more worrying that the relay being out of service hasn't resulted in a trip … leaving the transformer without protection, possibly for an extended period of time.

Hopefully, not too long since the TCS relay functioned ok.

For information of others, replacing the fuse didn't trip the cct!
