Does anyone know how to turn off that annoying "Auto Saved" popup that keeps appearing over where you're typing when entering a post?

Looks like another one of those "good ideas" that the developers haven't had to suffer!

Hi keylevel‍

The 'auto save' is a new feature that was released by the suppliers on their latest update overnight on Monday, so it's very new!
I think it may be a little overzealous in its frequency so we'll give some feedback to the supplier and ask for that to be adjusted. 👍

Or for those of us happy with the level of technology in the bar at the Axe and Cleaver, and option to turn the annoying bloody "feature" off, permanently.

Or is that just me getting lockdown grumpy

Regards

'Lockdown grumpy....' 😂 Yup that is a thing at the moment.

I agree though OMS. I'm not sure I need to be told so frequently that the text I'm writing is being 'auto saved' however the feature itself is very useful. If I've started writing a reply but then accidentally closed the window, when I come back to the topic and start my reply again then the auto saved text is still there.

I think it's the pop up message that's really annoying so, as before, we'll have a chat with the supplier and ask them to address it.
Good afternoon Ms. Lisa,
who I connect through the message I receive in the email "Your application cannot be verified" (screenshot attached). I've tried the same thing over and over again, but when I log in to the site (not via email) I can log in with the password.

Hi Benyamin

My colleague Liz Morgan (who looks after the technical aspects of the online community) is currently on leave but will take a look at your particular issue when she's back online tomorrow morning.

In the meantime though can you send her a more in-depth explanation of what you're experiencing to the email address of community-online@theiet.org so that this topic in the forum about the 'auto save' feature doesn't stray 'off-topic'. 😉

Well, given that we are all likely to be the victims of a mental health pandemic of epic proportions very soon, I actually feel great  - I've had a chance to listen to a lot of music I don't normally have the chance to  - and still got enough work done to avoid going bankrupt

I think my "lockdown grumpy" is based on the #covidiots surrounding me - never before have I seen such a group so hard of thinking that a BBQ and semi street party in the middle of this didn't strike them as a bit dodgy, notwithstanding the irony of then standing in the street applauding the NHS. Still, most of the attendees are now coughing like a retired collier and looking distinctly grim - so my faith in natural justice is restored.

So,  I'm just about to plug in a Tom Waits playlist and get on designing a (hopefully) zero carbon building in a wetland area (stacks of PV and water source heat pumps, nice green roof, bit of rainwater harvesting for the WC's, sweet chestnut cladding - all good)

Stay safe - don't go near Leicester for a while - or any other #covidiots you run across

why can we not just have options (global ones) that we can customise this sort of thing ourselves. Along with  first post is newest, or oldest or whatever, And can they put some effort into the stuff we asked for in round 1.
I presume 'content posted' is another message from the same stable. If they can't turn it off, can they move it out of the way ?
So, the good news is that in the next release, the 'Auto Save' message will appear in the status bar at the bottom of the editor. The bad news is, we'll have to wait for just over a week...😣
Ok
