Europe, Middle East and Africa Communities Committee are responsible for supporting engineers and technologists in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in delivering events and other networking opportunities to benefit the SET community.


The IET Young Professional Global Challenge

Want to test your technical skills and help humanitarian aid workers with a problem they face? Join the IET Global Challenge!

 The Global Challenge is organized by the IET Young Professionals Community Committee (YPCC) to encourage Young Professionals to address a real world engineering challenge.

Team formation:

3-4 members (aged 18-35, with at least 1 IET member)

Your task:

Provide a technical proposal for a solution to a Challenge faced by humanitarian aid workers

The prize:

The winning team will get an all expenses paid trip to the IET’s prestigious Innovation Awards ceremony, where each team member will receive a GBP250 cash prize and certificate. Cash prize and certificates will also be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Runner-ups.
