Another Friday, another question to test your general Railway knowledge.  Get your answers in before 9.30am on Monday.  No prizes, just the joy of taking part.

We have had lots of events that you can comment on, but the most recent ones have been  the Chitlern Depot Visit, the Annual Lecture and Dinner 2016, the Romford visit, and the visit to SWT-NR Basingstoke.  Let us know the most interesting parts of the events, what did you learn, what did you see and did you take any photographs?

The North West Electrification Programme

The next Railway TPN event is a visit and lecture.  There is a tour of the works at Bombardier Crewe and then a talk on The North West Electrification Programme.  

** New Venue for lecture:  Manchester Metropolitan University Cheshire Campus **

The electrification programme in the North West will see over 300km of lines electrified, improving connections between towns and cities in our region and beyond.  The engineering team will give an overview of the background to the programme, how the option development and designs have progressed, an overview of the finalised designs, the construction status and what the next steps are for the programme

Please note:
1.  that registration for thie tour is mandatory as you will not be able to access the site unless you have registered and completed the mandatory online training which will be sent out as part of the joining instructions after you have registered for the event.  
2.  To take part in the tour of the works delegates are required to provide the following PPE: Hi viz vest, safety shoes, eye protection and bump cap
3.  You will be required to complete an online safety assessment before attending this event, the link will be sent out when places are allocated. Please print and bring your certificate with you as this will aid in the registration process.
