The IET is proud to be a supporter of the F1 in Schools Program. Students design race cars using a 3D CAD program. They analyze the aerodynamics using a Virtual Reality Wind Tunnel. Then, they make their car out of balsa wood using a Computer Numerical Controlled router. In Austin, students will be judged on their verbal presentation, their design portfolio and pit display, and their CAD data and folios and they will race their cars.
