  1. Board/Committee Opportunities:  Members wishing to apply for appointment to Council, CRC, and all of our CCs should send an email to:  giving their membership number. They will then be contacted and asked to complete a form giving details of their experience and skills. Closing date is typically early April

Achievement Award Nominations: Help us to recognise individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to the advancement of science, engineering or technology, or demonstrated exceptional commitment, by nominating them for an IET Achievement Medal or other awards. ​Visit:​ . The IET Global Challenge is now closed for entries:  it is an exciting competition for teams of young innovators aged 18-35. Use your engineering, technical and commercial skills to develop an innovative solution to a real world problem - the increasing plastic waste in our oceans!.  You can decide which of the two challenges you would like to enter. Opening date was 14-November-2018 and the Closing date was 14-March-2019. Student & Young Professional Programs

Present Around The World (PATW)  is a global competition for Young Professionals and Students to develop and showcase their technical presentation skills. Global Challenge is an engineering competition to encourage Young Professionals across the globe to address a real world engineering challenge using their academic and technical skills. The Challenge focuses on the technical feasibility, efficiency and innovation of a proposed solution ot the engineering challenge, as well as stretch the collaborative, marketing and presentation skills of participants. IET Achievement Awards recognise professional achievements or voluntary contributions to the IET. The range of awards covers engineers and technologists at all levels – from dedicated apprentices to influential leaders or researchers. Group Information
A public online community for the all those interested to inspire, inform and influence the engineering community in the Americas to meet the needs of society, whether volunteers in the Americas region, Local Networks (LN), Young Professional (YP), the Communities Committee-Americas (CC-A), or other professional engineering institutions (PEI), learned societies, or STEM education advocates. A place to share ideas, resources, experiences and best practice in support of The IET's vision, mission, values and international programs, competitions and awards.  If you know a STEM undergraduate student looking to set up a local OnCampus Group or YP looking for mentorship, networking, or leadership opportunities, please contact a member of the CC-A or Community Administrator.
