In the light of the escalating spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) around the world, and after careful consideration the IET has taken the decision that all of our local and technical network and our OnCampus activity should be postponed until at least the end June, and possibly longer if the virus remains prevalent. The IET’s portfolio of commercial conferences and lectures is also being postponed until the crisis has passed.
People’s health and wellbeing is our number one priority, including our volunteers and attendees at our events. We are acutely aware that our volunteers and visitors are the very people whose skills and experience will play a part in keeping the vital infrastructure and services running in these difficult times and we want to do our bit to minimise the risk to people’s health. We also want to play our part in helping to slow the spread of the virus so even if Covid-19 has not yet reached your area we would request that you also observe the hiatus in IET activity.
