Electric batteries for energy storage - the future
Approved 1
A very major revolution in Energy Generation is now under way, with the use of both solar and wind energy increasing rapidly worldwide. The way in which cars will be powered in the future is also starting to change. The next 15 years will see huge changes in both of these areas, and battery technology will be a key part of these changes.

This presentation will look at how these changes are likely to develop and the timeframe for them, which is likely to be much more rapid than most people appreciate, particularly by people who are in the traditional industries that will be impacted by these changes. Low cost energy storage will become one of the world’s largest industries in the not too distant future, and will change the world we live in on a massive scale. Come to the presentation to see how this is likely to unfold.

Chris O'Loughlin has an interest in all types of technology, particularly developments that might happen in the next 5 – 20 years. He undertakes his own research to prepare fascinating presentations based on videos and articles from the internet and places his own spin on topics.

The lecture is at 8pm and is preceeded by an optional dinner. Ticket options below are for with the lecture only or dinner and lecture.
