In his presentation David Linsell, of Thames Water, will give a company overview and talk about geographic coverage, customers, volumes of clean and waste water, tonnes of dry solid material for disposal. He will move on to sewage treatment covering historical development, basic elements in a sewage works, sludge processing, anaerobic digestion, pasteurisation and thermal hydrolysis. He will then cover power generation and combined heat and power plant.

David Linsell BSc MSc FIMarEST FIMechE NIDGTE CDipAF is a Chartered Marine and Mechanical Engineer who started his career in the Royal Navy. After leaving the Navy he worked in an engineering consultancy on a wide variety of projects. He now works for Thames Water as a CHP Specialist.

The lecture is at 8pm and is preceeded by an optional dinner. Ticket options below are for with the lecture only or dinner and lecture.
