Note in the Blog section there is a blog accepting comments regarding using Lakeside as a venue. In our event feedback we are again drawing concerns about this as a venue. Comments include the lack of tiered seating, size of screen and quite often comments about the sound reinforcement and the food. We try and get the best of both worlds here - Lakeside is a restaurant and not a theatre, so the question is do you want a theatre or a venue with the wine? The low ceiling interferes with the sound reinforcement, and we try and cater for the correct numbers for food. This venue costs around £1,000 a session and we try our best to juggle all of the variables. However, if we all try and boost the attendance figures by recommending to our friends and colleagues we are quite happy to use the main theatre - but we need around 200 delegates to make it viable.
