Amendment in the Name of CC-EMEA and its Description

Honourable Chairman CC-EMEA

It is apprised that Pakistan is also under jurisdiction of the CC-EMEA but there is not reflection of the Pakistan in the name and descrtiption of the CC-EMEA.  It is therefore suggested that the name may be amended as CC-EMEAP or CC-EMAP and the word Pakistan may also be included in the Community Description.

Thank you

    Hi Nouman

This will be discussed at our next meeting later this month.

    Best regards

  • I can see the problem raised by Nouman, however we have to consider that we have to keep the name as simple as possible and at the same time reflecting the area covered.

EMEA is already very long compared to other CCs like CC-UK, CC-A, CC-AP etc. The problem is that we can not consider every individual country added in this CC for one reason or another. For instance we have Kazangstan which is as well not covered by the  EMEA area.

My suggestion is to keep it simple and once EMEA is used by a lot of other international organisations to maintain it in order to avoid confussion. In this case we have to make sure that in the description of the area covered by this CC the 2 specific countries are clearly identified and highlighted as well as any other countries to be added to this Region which are not actually covered by EMEA.
