Engineering Education Grant Scheme

We’re delighted to announce that our joint Engineering Education Grant Scheme with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers is open for applications.

We’re offering funding to UK-based projects that teach young people aged 5-19 about engineering, develop the skills of those involved in supporting STEM learning and careers awareness, or improve wider engineering literacy.

This year, the scheme is being supported by the Year of Engineering so we’re looking for applications which focus on the campaign’s April theme of  ‘Engineering improves lives’. We are keen to see applications delivered in partnership, from teams with diverse expertise, a range of skills and from a variety of sectors.

We will be accepting bids until 6 April for projects taking place from 1 June.  For more information, or to apply, please visit www.theiet.org/fund.

    Evanna,

Sounds like a great Grant scheme.  As a significant number of our members are from countries outside the UK, I am curious to know why we would discriminate against them by limiting participation in the scheme.

    thoughts welcomed.
