we lost communications with the rover , vikram, at 2.1 km from moon's south pole's surface. how it is possible? and what will be its solution to regain the communications?

A detailed investigation will be underway to access the damages and causes. From the earlier experiences from other space agencies most likely be faults will be related to
    1. Altitude assignment,

    • Onboard computer overload (this happened during moon landing of NASA (but it has restarted in time))

the above causes are most likely.

With a couple of pictures from the orbiter and TTL data from the lander, we can pinpoint the fault.

May be due to hard landing communications may have broken.

Let's wait for the official report. Most likely it will be out in a week time.

That was a very helpful reply.

We have noticed a deviation from the projected path of the rover before we lost the communications. Can we think that due to this deviation we have lost our communications?

and what could be the reason behind that deviation? Since we have many overcoming missions ,it will be important for us to know that whether such deviations are responsible for the end moment communication lost.

    Thanking You.

Coming on the point of Hard landing, it's not proved that the rover has a hard landing. I am just calculating  and analyzing all the possible ways why we lost the communications and that too at that when 90% or we can say 95% of process has been completed without any fault?
