  • Hi,

I'd like to share experiences of new technologies and organisational methods and to receive positive messages from this wealth-creating and intellectually satisfying economic sector. I'd like to see the IET at the forefront of helping people within manufacturing to raise their professional and organisational aspirations. As the successor to the IProdE and IMfgE, the IET has a clear responsibility to continue its effective involvement in manufacturing.

    Regards,

    Geoff

    My Name is Bernard Chaampness

I am now retired from engineering manufacturing having spent over twenty years manufacturing car parts with Ford et al.

My particular interest is engineering and management methods systems employed in the past by people such as Whitworth, Beyer, Arkwright, Sorenson etc.

    Hi everyone,

I am the Senior Electrical Design Engineer for Vacuum Engineering Services, a manufacturing firm that build machines used to leak test components mainly for the automotive industry. My job is to manage all aspects of electrical design. I also create all safety programs for progammable safety relays.

I am very enthusiastic about all types of engineering. I would like to network with like minded individuals and i am keen to learn more about renewable energy.

    Regards

    Luke

  • Welcome too to Vincent - and again, please let us know what you'd like to see us organise.   There is always an element of networking at our events, so hopefully we'll see you at a future event.   If you have an interest in joining the exec team to help shape our future programmes, then please get in touch.   Antariksh, who posted earlier, has just joined our exec team.

    Regards

One current interest is getting senior UK-resident engineers with significant manufacturing engineering experience appointed to part-time remunerated Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor teaching appointments.   www.raeng.org.uk/.../visiting-professors-in-innovation explains the rationale and what is involved. If anyone suitably qualified from industry is interested in getting a university department to nominate them, or a university wants to find someone suitable, I'll be delighted to try to help make the match.

    Thank you.
