Call for Reviewers - BSI PAS 1885 and PAS 11281

BSI would like to inform you and your organization of the development of PAS 1885, The fundamental principles of automotive cyber security – Specification, and PAS 11281, Connected automotive systems – Relation between security and safety – Code of practice.

A PAS is a sponsored, fast-track informal standard that is developed through a consensus-building process facilitated by BSI Standards Limited. A PAS should not be regarded as a BS, EN or ISO standard.

The development of PAS 1885 has been sponsored by the Department for Transport and the development of PAS 11281 has been sponsored by the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI).

Due to the proximity in subject matter of the two PASs, we would like to invite you to submit comments on either one or both PASs during their ~4-week public consultation via BSI’s online draft review system (http://drafts.bsigroup.com/). This involvement does not involve attendance of meetings.

The public consultation for PAS 1885 is due to start in March 2018, while the public consultation for PAS 1885 is due to start in June 2018.

Further information on the development of PAS 1885 and PAS 11281, including the PAS process, schedule, PAS scope and how to get involved is provided in the two attachments  to this email: “PAS 1885 Public Review Overview” and “PAS 11281 Public Review Overview” (both attached)

The BSI Project Manager responsible for the development of PAS 1885 is Brian Such while Sophie Hamza is the BSI Project Manager responsible for the development of PAS 11281 – please do get in touch with either of them if you have any queries on these PASs.
