This year’s UK Device Developers Conference will take place at Cambourne near Cambridge on the 27th and 28th April, and will run alongside a new event for hardware developers, called H/WExpo.  (Both free to attend).

As usual, this conference focuses on the technical, rather than the commercial – exploring the latest tools and technologies available for for the development of embedded systems and real-time software.  The agenda includes hands-on workshops, technical presentations from industry experts and a vendor exhibition.

This year’s workshops will include topics such as Optimising ARM Cortex-M Code, MISRA-C 2016, a guide to GUI development, Safety Critical Systems development and an introduction to Embedded Linux.

For hardware engineers, the HW/Expo Conference running alongside will explore such topics as Hardware Debug and Testing, Developments in Memory Devices, implementing Capacitive Touch technology and the latest developments in M2M Communication and IoT Security.  Enclosure design will also be featured.

Delegates can move freely between the two Conferences and their respective workshops and presentations.

Both Conferences are free to attend for engineers, computer scientists and project managers, although a few of the longer workshops are subject to a fee of £75 (less 20% discount for IET members).  Lunch and refreshments are also provided free throughout the day. The cost of both events is mostly covered through industry sponsorship.

Delegates do need to register in advance. Early registration is recommended, especially if a seat at a workshop is required.  More information on both conferences is available at:
