Hello all!

Dear all,

I just wanted to put a quick post on the forum to introduce myself. I have recently moved to the area from Bath where I completed my PhD entitled "Exploring the benefits and implications of dynamic partial reconfiguration using field programmable gate array - system on chip architectures". I am now working for Pico Technology as an FPGA engineer.

In my spare time I continue to perform research - my research updates can be found on my ResearchGate profile - and have recently volunteered as a STEM outreach ambassador and for the Remap programme (https://www.remap.org.uk/). I am also a guitarist/bassist and enjoy archery.

I very much look forward to meeting you all :)

Welcome to Cambridge.  I see you are registered with Peterborough and Huntingdon but we endeavour to run complementary events each year.  The last Cambridge event for the 208/19 season is on 16 May - details on the website.  The new season starts in October.

If you are keen on STEM and other activities like REMAP you may also wish to consider repair cafes which are popular in the Cambridge area http://circularcambridge.org/repaircafe/   Several IET members support Repair cafes.

    Welcome.

    David

  • Thanks for the welcome; I will certainly explore the repair cafes you mentioned!
