I was pleased to see the video of the Airlander 10 on its first flight round the airfield where I worked in the summer of '82 for Airship Industries.

Airships are best in calm weather for ease of take off or landing and given their low cruising altitude. So they would appear to have a limited part to play for global transportation. Airships will probably need to land to avoid storms and continue flying when the fine weather returns.
