Scanning a material in order to identify objects within is a simple and pervasive task in our daily lives. Technologies with the potential or capacity to perform such job, for various objects and host materials, can be found in use across a range of different industries, including, but not limited to, healthcare, environmental, manufacturing, or the arts industries.

In this Challenge we wish to uncover and identify the most promising imaging technologies – already implemented at scale or under development – in order to uncover its potential in new high-value applications. Hence, if you have a technology that can, for example:

• Identifying a coin inside a Christmas pudding

• Detect a tumour inside a body or tissue, or

• Detect an object deep below the surface of land

• Then this is a Challenge for you!
