Leading on from the 'IET Software Tools in the Development of a Safety System' event that took place on 20th November, one of our excellent speakers at exida, Loren Stewart,  mentioned that they do a regular recorded webinars covering various fields, but that there were specific ones on Functional Safety, Certification and Software.     read more...

Over the past year, the Executive Committee has reviewed the scope and the direction of the Functional Safety Technical and Professional Network (TPN).  We want the network to stay relevant to the Safety community, by covering a wider remit and broadening our vision. Safety has a key part to play in the IET technical structure and we want the TPN to have a key role. We decided to change our name to the System Safety Engineering TPN to reflect this.   read more...

The IET Functional Safety TPN has been a partner organisation for the 2018 Environment & Safety Assurance Symposium, the UK MOD's flagship equipment safety and environmental protection event.  Held at the Defence Equipment & Support headquarters at MOD Abbey Wood in Bristol, it is attended by around 200 people from the MOD, industry and academia over two days.    read more...
