Your committee is thinking of organising a 'social' event for members and their guests, perhaps in May or June of this year. Things are always quiet on the STEM front during the Autumn term. I guess the children are finding their feet in their new year group and before they know it they are preparing for the Christmas activities. During August we had the delight (and exhaustion) of having our Daughter and two Grandchildren from California stay with us for three weeks. During their stay they rode on quite a number of trains, from the South Downs Light Railway to the Eurostar to Rotterdam to visit their cousin. Included in that list was the Volk’s Electric Railway (VER) that runs along Brighton seafront from the Palace Pier to the Marina, a distance of about one and a half kilometres. read more...
