Eat, Sleep, Engineer, Repeat: Join Air Marshal Sir Julian Young For This Year’s President’s Address

Published

Get ready to “Eat, sleep, engineer, repeat” on 14 October, as Air Marshal Sir Julian Young takes the stage for the international online broadcast of his President’s Address.

The main address is at 1pm BST, and he will challenge you to think about how we keep inspiring generation after generation of engineers. What is the role of engineers as influencers and drivers of a sustainable, digital world? How do we ensure that we learn from and mentor each generation of engineers – both ahead of us and following on? And what can engineers do more of to support 21st century society, promote an ethical and diverse profession and help solve the big societal challenges?

Then at 6.30pm BST, Julian will be joined by our 2020-21 President, Danielle George, and 2020 Young Woman Engineer of the Year Ella Podmore, for a fireside chat. You’ll hear more about Julian’s plans for the year ahead, a look back at what it was like to play an integral role in our global 150th anniversary celebrations, travelling the world entirely online, and lots more!
