It’s not every year an organisation reaches such a momentous milestone, so we’re pulling out all the stops to make this an anniversary year to remember...We officially turn 150 years old on 17 May 2021, but our celebrations start from today – 1 October 2020, as Professor Danielle George starts her presidential year – and run through to late 2021.

We want you all to take part and enjoy this year, starting with tuning in to Danielle’s Presidential Address next Thursday, 8 October at 1pm BST. Details can be found on the event website (theiet.org/presidents-address), and it will be available on-demand too!

Keep visiting our dedicated IET@150 website where we’ll be sharing the latest news and updates so you can keep track of what’s coming up and how to get involved. We’ll also be posting plenty of behind-the-scenes snippets across our social media channels.

There’ll be loads to take part in so stay tuned for updates, and be sure to share the latest opportunities with your fellow members, volunteers and partners.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please get in touch with the IET@150 core team: iet150@theiet.org

I’ve seen a teal logo…

A special birthday calls for a special outfit, and our IET@150 activities will stand-out by using this exclusive teal colourway for the duration of the anniversary year. This includes any of our volunteer groups who are running activities supported by our Global Volunteer Engagement Fund.

Our business-as-usual activities won’t miss out though! The =150 signifier badge is available in all other IET brand colours and will be used on anything created during our anniversary year.
