Having trouble logging in to the community?
Unable to log into the the community or the IET’s website? Keep putting in your email only for it not to be recognised? Keep going around and around that verification process? If you’ve been unable to log in to the IET’s website (or the online community) then read on…
If you haven’t logged in to your account on the IET’s website (or for this online community) since June 2019 then it’s highly likely that you’re having problems.
In 2019 the IET updated the service we use for logging in to the website. Anyone with an account on our website was asked to log in to it before the end of 2019 in order to update their log in details and transfer them over to the new service.

Watch this space!
Over the last few months the online community team have been working away behind the scenes looking at ways we can improve things and give our community members a much better online community experience. There’s still a lot to do and decide upon before we can present anything wider so at the moment it’s a case of watch this space… 😉
If you're a seasoned community member or still 'just lurking' and would like to help us by taking part in the feedback team then please let us know!
Is it just me !
Surely the IET should be an example of excellence in security and simplicity when gaining access to our on line resources and administration systems!
I believe if you have to enter a username and password then you ‘log in’ but if you don't then you ‘log on’. So you can ‘log on’ to the Internet but ‘log in’ to your account on the IET's website.
